View Full Version : 'Lemon Grass' Malay noodlehouse in Walworth Rd.
I went there last week. Fucking lovely it was. Perfectly authentic food; I had roti followed by a vegi mee goreng, (which is fried noodles); the latter would have benefited from some fresh limes, but was still gorgeous. Came to £5.50 for what was a not only delicious, but very large and filling meal.
Can't remember what night of the week it was, but it was totally dead, which was sad.
Anyone else been there, or know any other such Malay restaraunts?
Good info, real shortage of Malay of Indonesian restaurants in London.
Found an amazing Sri Lankan/S Indian curry house down in Lewisham. Spectacular spices, not just that 'orrible burn. "Everest Curry King"
yeah, there isn't much awareness of Malay cuisine here really, IME. Only other ones I've been to have been buffets, which were nice, but the food was inevitably cold and a bit congeiled.
That place in Lewisham sounds interesting, I'm not a fan of excessively hot either.

I've been to a few that hold themselves out as Malay but they're usually Chinese Malaysian, so its Cantonese with a bit of nasi goreng thrown in.
