Can anyone recommend anything nice, with outside seating?
And grub?

3 kings just off clerkenwell green. there is a church with steps and a little park thing opposite it. one of best pubs in london

There's no outside seating though. You can stand outside, or sit on the pavement, or the steps of the church - or even in the churchyard/park bit. But there's no seats as such.

You can say hello to Deek for me, if you do go.

There's a couple of benches outside the Jerusalem Tavern in Britton Street, but they're normally packed.

Red Jezza, would be a good one to ask, as he worked there a while back :)

....and bang on cue!
3 kings damned good. also there's a good one selling Belgian beer on aldersgate st, the Slaughtered Lamb and the castle, by the station.
This should make life easier (http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/results.shtml?l=ec1&page=3)

a decent pub in the area, The Duke of York on Vine Hill (south of Roseberry Avenue.) Superb, excellent thai food, benches outside and also an area where you can 'chill' out - very recommended (not for suits mind...)

Would have said the Printers arms on Farringdon Road - it's a Witherspoons / Lloyds bar but is surprisingly plesant as far as these establishments go.

There is naff all outside seating though as far as I know.

*waves in deek's general direction*

there's not much I'm missing about London - apart from Ozbilen - my old local kebaberie and The 3 Kings and Deek's Bloody Mary's

Right now, I think I'd sell my own mother to have Ozbilen falafel and a 3 kings bloody mary for my tea tonight! :(

(tough day at the office doesn't even begin to describe it...)

Whats that spanish place with the table football on Exmouth market?

There's a clutch of decent places around by the meat market to - most famously the Fox and Anchor, I guess.

Another vote for the Three Kings , fantastic in summer when the weather is nice and you can drink on the street by the church.

Gets a bit packed inside but upstairs is nice with a couple of rooms and a great jukebox.

And they sell Scrumpy Jack :)

3 Kings!

I recently moved office and was extremely chuffed to find myself working opposite the 3 Kings!

Am surprised that everyone else seems to love it too - I've never seen any familiar faces in there....(apart from spider off corrie :D )

Tiny bit outside Clerkenwell but The Narrow Boat at the stary of the canal N1 is fantastic :)

I love all the artwork on the walls at the Three Kings – unlike most pubs, the decor is worth looking at.

A few doors down, The Crown has a good – if pricey – selection of Belgian beers.

This (http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/17/1792/Three_Kings/Clerkenwell) about the Three Kings suggests (by omission) that there's no decent beer in it.

Well, they do Hoegaarden and Peroni in bottles. Prob. not much cop for the real ale fans out there but more than acceptable for the poncey design crew who work in the area ;)

I miss the 3 Kings :(

I once made the mistake of asking for a bag of crisps in there (imagine, crisps in a pub  ), and was frostily informed that the cheapest thing they had was leek and potato soup for £4.50.

"£4.50?!? Got any nuts?" says I.
