View Full Version : Quiet Coffee Shops/Pubs near Kings Cross
Hiya
We're doing a recording for the radio tonite at Kings cross and im looking for a nice quitish place for a small discussion afterwards.
I've got a few ideas, and was planning on spending the afternoon walking around checking levels.
But then i thought. "why not ask" so does anyone know anywhere near kings croos station where you can sit and chat with say 4 people. Without background noise that becomes intrusive?

The Flying Scotsman on Caledonia Road - :p ;)
we might get a little distracted there ;)
i think there are some coffee shops on euston road between kings cross and the british library which mught be alright, not sure what times they open until, if they are open til 8ish they might be alright for our purposes
even star***ks
good plan
the british library.
they have a nice courtyard area, Its quite a nice place to sit.
I usually go there when i am waiting for someone to come in from Euston of KX.
Though the pub is always very tempting...

Smithy's wine bar is good, it's often quiet unless there's a function on.

Calthorpe arms is about 10 mins down Grays Inn Road on the left & tends to be very quiet & relaxed . . .

i like that place! lots of good wine.
There is a newish hotel bar a little up york way (The Waiting Room) it has always been totally quiet (well dead) anytime I've passed or been in there so should suit your purpose.
