View Full Version : French Market in Caernarfon/Llanberis
The travelling French market is in Caernarfon today and in Llanberis on Friday.
I'm now well stocked up with boar sausage, olives, croissants, breads, cheeses...and Ciders!
Yum!

I went to that when it was down in the Oval Basin in Cardiff Bay.
After a week I was fed up of cured meat, bread and cheese for weeks - I thought I was going to get gout or something!
Went to it down in the Bay a couple of times-part of the "Celtic food Festival" which seemed to include Norwegians and Germans for some reason-but the more the merrier!
Also there were a load of nutters connected to the Breton Muscadet stall who had some sort of ceremony based around drinking huge amounts of Muscadet-they knew my Mum and Dad somehow so we had plenty of freebies. :)

nah, they're just breton and drink like bretons. bretons have been known to have some of the highest alcohol level in blood ever recorded and they still stood relatively upright. in the old days, the horse pulling the cart would remember the way home for his master....

We went when it was in the bay but were disappointed. Most of the stalls were good but why on earth did they have a happy shopper style homewares stall which took up a good 1/8 of one end ( quite alot) and it was about as french as china????
The foodie stalls had sold most of the good stuff when we got there too
