Would anyone be interested in doing a "quadrathlon" for a bit of fun like? It could be a weekend in August, or even after work. I'm thinking a swim at the Lido, a cycle to somewhere, a run round Brockwell Park, down a specified number of drinks at the Hobgoblin....?
If we kept the distances down it could be for everyone..
Something like 5 laps of the pool, a cycle to clapham common, once round the common and back again, 1 lap of the park, 2 pints of cider.... or summat... :confused: :D

I'm still pissed off with myself for cocking up the London tri (again!), so it would be a good laugh, but also some exercise...
(I once had a dream that I took part in a quadrathlon which involved the usual disciplines, but at the end you had to plant a flower.. :D )

Gotta get the swimming muscles first though I should have a good chance on the bike part :)

i can lend a bike out, but not necessarily a really good one... but the idea behind this is really just for a laugh...
i'll suggest some dates after universally challenged has finished.

ok.. some suggestions for dates...
thursday august 18th from 6pm.
tuesday august 30th from 6pm
thursday september 1st from 6pm
just a few suggestions there.. the lido closes sept 4th.

weekends are ok, but it would have to be earlyish really because the pool gets too crowded otherwise....
the only one i could do though is the morning of sept 3rd.

your just being nice because I haven't got a bike and you think I'd be bad at a quadrathlon :(
would there be marshalls to make sure those local to brockwell park can't jump into their garden and hide to avoid doing one of the laps of the park ?

One of the laps of the park... :eek: I tried running around the park just once this morning and couldn't do it... :( I used to be able to run round 3 times.. this morning I was barely going faster than the commuters on their way to work... :(
I'd completely expect to come last.. it's a bit of a tradition with me... and I have no problems with that... (think I'll shine in the 4th discipline!!).... so I imagine you'll be bloody brilliant!!
Where's Filter? Kubs said he'd do it too, so they could have a race off.... :D

I'll have to take a rain check as I have been neglecting friends, family and a load of other stuff for the last six months in the name of triathlon and I need a bit of a break. Have fun though.

I'd love to do this if it was sometime in October!
I seem to be a busy bee in Sept though so can't make it if it's then.
I'd be very slow and would certainly come last but love the idea of it. I can run or cycle for an hour but my swimming is pants! Like doggy/froggy paddle!

Well we could do it in October, but we'd have to do the swim in the Rec.. no chance you could do an after work date before Sept 4th?
