I very much hope that I will be dragging the sig. ot. along to this - in which case, any chance of a blast of Slayer or Napalm Death?
Just kidding!!! Go! Team or Arcade Fire would be nice. And have you got anything by a little-known combo that go by the name of the Caretaker Race...? :D

i shall be coming...who else is coming.
let's roll the weekend on :D
(ps ianw: are the free list plus one or just one person?)

I initially heard of it myself through IR London, some time before I first posted here. It was only after I joined the forums that I realized there was such an 'HDIF' massive at large... ;)
of course innit. and yes to choc for your plus one.
three more spaces left on the guest list. pm me if you want one!

Nah. Explaining why my username is now a bit anachronistic gives me a convenient anecdote to fill those quiet moments during dull conversations.

danke schon :)
Got a friend coming along for the first time tonight, and for her 30th birthday, bless her little young cotton socks.
You might get a few more requests for her ("Mags"), but she'd love it - and I know I'd love it - if you played Misstra Knowitall by Little Stevie Wonder...
Please. :)
As it's only down the road from me now, I may well pop along.
;)
I owe you a beer don't forget. Will be there from about 10.30pm :)

so more stevie than little stevie, then?
is it a bit too seventies for HDIF do you think?

i think so. very smooth, very 70s soul. one of the few 70s stevie tracks i like, but not very HDIF
i'll see if i can find it. if not, i'll gladly give some little stevie a spin instead. fingertips or hey harmonica man.

I've got an OGG file with me, Ian. Any good?
I'll put it online before I go and PM the address to you.
"Too seventies for HDIF"? I think it fits right in with some of the *slightly* more downtempo Motown... :)
i've found it. and, sorry, it's too seventies. the club's generally pre-crossover - ie sixties soul.
lovely song though. thanks for introducing me to it.

Ahh, shame. I'm a bit rusty on my soul chronology.
Glad you like the song though.
S'pose I Just Called To Say I Love You is right out of the question, then?
;)
although the trinity is one of my favourites... :o i am not sure if i can make it beforehand anywhere. i have got important things to do etc etc :o :o
*leaves the interent in a feel-important-way*
see you later :)

i almost got lost last night.
phew! thanks everyone...!
right, i'm off to the big chill. see you on monday...!
:)
have fun ian :)
..it was great last night...., that is for the short while i was there, because due to unforseen drama i had to leave prematurely. without saying good bye to anybody, for which i duely apologise... and worse even, i didn't even get the time to hit the dancefloor (as i was still in my warm-up)
(phew! visitors, their boyfriends, polish mentality vs german mentality, throw it altogether mix it with alcohol and then forget about the dancefloor ...or any kind of logic in fact!!!)

Yeah, wondered where you got to! Hope everything's alright...? :)
Thanks for another cracking evening Ian (I might even get to talk to you one of these days! :D ) and great to hang out with you LDR and Hollis (good luck BTW ;) ). Otherwise, the edges of the night are very blurry, and so they should be... :o
everything is fine over here :) thanks. in fact i can't stop laughing today. just a pitty i couldn't dance. the music was so good now my feet are still itchy.
I had a great night. I somehow managed to spend £60. £30 was on the taxi home. I had such a lovely chat with the driver I gave him a £10 tip. I could ill afford it really but I was very drunk.
I hope your Polish mate recovers Choc. It was lovely to meet her.
I enjoyed chatting to Acid Priest and his lovely wife too.
I spent half the night convincing a certain young lady that Hollis wasn't an axe murderer. :D
