looking to go to wales for a short break at the end of august or thereabouts, can anyone recommend somewhere nice?

we'd like somewhere near/on a beach where you can have a campfire. also, we don't drive so places way off the beaten track might not be suitable. i don't know wales very well, been to pwllheli once, so any advice would be gratefully received.

North Wales is fab. castles EVERYWHERE. There is a great campsite just outside Conwy, with great facilities, but can't remember what it's called. Anywhere along the Llyn Peninsula is fairly close to the sea.

i camped with my gf and nephew in holy head for a night this summer. there's a beautiful little beach there and if i recall the campsite was only a 10 minute walk away or so. the showers were nice and clean (you had to buy tokens, but it was dirt cheap) and the fare was only £9 for the three of us. you really can't beat that sort of value!! :)
