i'm flying from canada in july and i'm going to be by myself for a few days. so, tell me. are you people just as ugly and stuck up as everyone says you are? will you shove me away and ignore me as i speak in my north american accent no matter how supercute i am? do you hate canadians? and since i'm of filipino descent, will you look down on me and tell me to clean up on isle 5? etc etc
just want to be prepared. =D

I lived with a Canadian once, he spent the whole time slating England (never went out of London though) and telling me how beautiful the girls in Canada were. Then I met his Mum and one of the first things she said to me was, "arent the girls here beautiful and slim, not like in Canada"!!

An important tip - No matter how petite & cute you may be. If you are planning on wearing one of those HUGE rucsacks, seemingly full of breeze-blocks & with the maple leaf flag ineptly sewn on, please don't take it on the bus or tube at busy times & clobber people whenever you move. It can create a bit of hostility, both to yourself & Canadians in general! :p ;)
If you ever need to map read do not do it in the middle of the pavement.
We're not unfriendly we just dont care for strangers. People dont talk on public transport (unless something interesting happens like severe delays or an accident) but you shouldnt be shunned by workers in shops etc. Plus london is seriously mulitcultural.

okay. i take it all back. =P i've met very nice people in london. most of whom i've kept in touch with. like most canadians, the people who have spoken to me so negatively about londoners like to portray themselves has "nice and canadian" but are assholes themselves. sneaky bastards. i hope they get run over by cars.
