at least four cop cars or vans have gone screaming down railton road in the last five minutes, separately. there's a chopper overhead too. anyone know what's up?
fuck knows - but it's the 2nd night on the trot for the helicopter. was about to go to bed but I'll wait till it's gone as the fucker woke me up last night
Every time we hear a helicopter hovering above for ages and using the searchlight Miss T & P says it must be another escapee from Brixton nick. Surely not? Otherwise we're talking about 10-15 escaping a year, at least...
This made me chuckle (the acronym).. Hope they catch him fast and maybe dont let him back to the hospital again? Twice now.
Was great fun when the IRA escaped from there. Brixton Hill was mad for days Great fun when they were having trials as well. Try explaining to your boss that you were late for work because no traffic could move whilst Brixton Hill came to a standstill so the prison vans holding the IRA could leave
don't worry Minnie (if that is the correct thing to say?!) he was spotted in North London on Saturday.
yeah. i just got forwarded a (genuine) email within work from the PCT in Islington/Camden saying he had been up here on Saturday and had approached a vicar for a travelcard and alerting all GP's etc.
Actually the relevant point is - why on earth isn't everyone clamouring for the board of Kings to resign? If it was a prison then the governor would be under pretty strong pressure to go. Bunch of utter bastards to run their organisation so incompetently as allow a convicted rapist to escape twice.
the people in the hospital are fools how could they let this man escape? surely a rapist would be watched at all times especially in a hospital, serious people need to wake up
Duh! The Board of Kings' job is to run a hospital not a prison. If the prison service wants to bring somebody to Kings for treatment then it is up to them to put in place the appropriate measures to ensure security.
This. I'm sorry Bob, but I think you're wrong here. The prison should be ensuring that the rapist can't escape, the hospital's duties are merely to treat him without question.
Ah - on further examination I think we're both wrong. As far as I can see from the press reports he was being transferred from a secure medical wing (i.e. where the precise job of the hospital is to guard him) to Kings when he escaped. So you're right that it wasn't Kings fault - but it was South London & Maudesley's fault (NHS trust) - since they were meant to be guarding him.
