I had tickets for this, don't think I'll bother now. I don't think Soulwax will cancel, they're running a whole tent too.
If they've just announced that, they're really not giving people much time to get the stubs back to get the refund.
No, they're really not. Where was it announced? Sounds like they're hoping punters will miss the deadline if you've got to post it 1st class TODAY to be in with a shot.
Yep it's really tight on the postage front, special delivery with consequential loss should cover you. It's bollocks really that it's so late so you have to pay fortunes to send the ticket back, but I'd rather pay a fiver and get a hundred quid back for my tickets. Especially as rain's forecasted for saturday!
Announced yesterday around 5.45pm. It's cutting it a bit fine really. But at least they are showing a little grace by offering refunds and not making us take them to small claims court.
It doesn't matter what a festivals 'terms' say they have to abide by the law as set out by OFT, who I and Perplexis contacted and said we could take them to court after the event. I did tell renaissance this information, and I don't suppose they want loads of people tkaing them to court!
Yeah, but they're in extremely dubious legal territory- the law doesn't actually allow for event organisers to reserve the right to change named headliners. Well, that's my reading of it, and it seems sufficiently unclear that they're not willing to stick it out. That or they are really nice people who don't want bad feeling from their customers

It's ok it's not a game to be won, it does only apply to actual headliners, the support they can change/cancel as much as they like.
