  8. perplexis

perplexis A change of scene, a change of style....

I have ticket. Should be jokes. Not passing up the chance to see Bjork.
  9. free spirit

    free spirit more tea vicar?

lol - I think you'll be hoping in vain, this ain't glastonbury, it's a little one day festie run by an long running, but still fairly smallscale club promotion outfit.

    half_eaten_arm Well-Known Member

yeah i realise that, i'm just not swayed by the other acts
  11. zenie

  12. Kanda

    Kanda Nosh Wagon

I had tickets for this, don't think I'll bother now.

I don't think Soulwax will cancel, they're running a whole tent too.
  13. zenie

    zenie >^^<

haha is that cos you cba or because you're too cunted from glastonbury? :D
  14. Kanda

    Kanda Nosh Wagon

Because I wanted the g/f to see Bjork. Fully recovered from Glasto, had a fairly chilled one :)
  15. zenie

    zenie >^^<

    Refund info :)

  16. perplexis

perplexis A change of scene, a change of style....

    general "w00ts" all round.
  17. El Jefe

El Jefe .. the Rural Juror

If they've just announced that, they're really not giving people much time to get the stubs back to get the refund.
  18. baldrick

    baldrick ooooh timewarp

    No, they're really not.

Where was it announced? Sounds like they're hoping punters will miss the deadline if you've got to post it 1st class TODAY to be in with a shot.
  19. zenie

    zenie >^^<

Yep it's really tight on the postage front, special delivery with consequential loss should cover you.

It's bollocks really that it's so late so you have to pay fortunes to send the ticket back, but I'd rather pay a fiver and get a hundred quid back for my tickets.

Especially as rain's forecasted for saturday!:(:D
  20. perplexis

perplexis A change of scene, a change of style....

    Announced yesterday around 5.45pm.
It's cutting it a bit fine really. But at least they are showing a little grace by offering refunds and not making us take them to small claims court.
  21. Yelkcub

    Yelkcub Awesome Narcissist

I'd say they were being very reasonable if their T & Cs say as the quote above claims.
  22. zenie

    zenie >^^<

It doesn't matter what a festivals 'terms' say they have to abide by the law as set out by OFT, who I and Perplexis contacted and said we could take them to court after the event. I did tell renaissance this information, and I don't suppose they want loads of people tkaing them to court! :D
  23. perplexis

perplexis A change of scene, a change of style....

Yeah, but they're in extremely dubious legal territory- the law doesn't actually allow for event organisers to reserve the right to change named headliners. Well, that's my reading of it, and it seems sufficiently unclear that they're not willing to stick it out. That or they are really nice people who don't want bad feeling from their customers :hmm: :D
  24. hektik

    hektik adhering to a paradigm

  25. Rogue

    Rogue Shandy?

just saw this - renaissance are wankers. Always have been.
  26. Yelkcub

    Yelkcub Awesome Narcissist

Point conceded. I've learnt something there. Cheers!
  27. zenie

    zenie >^^<

It's ok it's not a game to be won, :) it does only apply to actual headliners, the support they can change/cancel as much as they like.
  28. Yelkcub

    Yelkcub Awesome Narcissist

Apols, I thought I was on an internet meassageboard;):D
  29. zenie

    zenie >^^<

yeh some cunts go on like that don't they? ;)
  30. Yelkcub

    Yelkcub Awesome Narcissist

Quite. (Not me though, although I do like to have the last word.)
