I moved into Brixton 5 years ago I live on Brixton Hill I've shopped in Iceland but also shop in M&S I love Brixton Village, The Ritzy and The Hive I am the future of Brixton (I am not a trol)
my father-in-law drank in pubs in Brixton during WW2 - he has fond memories of the George Canning, although when he went back in the 80s, he didn't feel very welcome he said and a war hero too although he might have bombed German Chip shops as well
I had to laugh at my mate who lived there for a year or two reckons it was full of middle class types moving there to be trendy
that could be said of Hackney, any time over the last 16 years or so I moved there in 1994 so clearly I am not the type
boohoo is spawn of Stockwell, a transient interloper to Brixton at best! She only knows her way around by navigating from one mural to the next.
I'd forgotten about the houses in Brockwell Park. Made me feel very funny that the memory suddenly appeared after two decades being buried/eroded...
If you grow up in Stockwell, you can't help being very Brixton as it features so much in your daily life. Every weekend trailing my mum around the market.
I know where you live EastEnder!!! And I will come around and talk mural at you for hours and hours and hours!!!
this thread got a mention in the SLP's collection of brixton tweets today. not a complementary one either!
i figured it was you, tbf i've just read it and thought it is a self-referential pisstake rather than a serious wanking contest and that to take it otherwise would involve deliberately misrepresenting it. but who'd want to deliberately misrepresent urban75?
