In the USA they designed something that went on top of a police car, a set of aerials iirc, it sent a massive electrical pulse that was designed to fuck up the computer chip in the car in front, so they wouldn't have to get involved in dangerous pursuits.
The stop car chases thing, that actually sounds like a good idea. without the need for accuracy like cs gas is a pinpoint weaponary not a good idea.
