    /thread
  2. TruXta Ner ner ner ner ner ner ner ner Anerley!

Question - are quiet acts any good at Offline? Plenty of great solo/duet artists around who do quieter stuff.
  3. editor Boris-flaming web tycoon

Not so much at the Albert venue, but I have put on poets, comedians and acoustic acts elsewhere.
  4. TruXta Ner ner ner ner ner ner ner ner Anerley!

Aye probably a bit loud overall...
  5. DrRingDing PotValiantFenman

You didn't see the thread? Apparently he went to Jamaica and converted to Rastafarianism or sumtin, now wants to be known as Snoop Lion.
  13. editor Boris-flaming web tycoon

I vaguely recall it, but it's certainly got fuck all to do with Offline!
  14. TruXta Ner ner ner ner ner ner ner ner Anerley!

I don't know that anyone's claimed as much. Would be a bit much for the Albert, altho I reckon he'd enjoy the fine displays of tokery in the back.

He's been regularly busking outside Brixton tube recently so he's a bit too over exposed in the area for me right now, IMO.
  21. stuff_it Nerd burglar

    You turning hipster on us?
  22. editor Boris-flaming web tycoon

Hardly. I just don't want to book acts that have already been seen in Brixton many many times recently.
  23. MillwallShoes Don't kill the Lion

    THE PUKES
The pUKEs are a 20-strong punk ukulele band based in London. They play songs by the likes of Dead Kennedys, Exploited, Xray Spex, The Clash, etc like you never heard ‘em before. Their massive stage presence and raucous live show has landed them slots at Rebellion punk festival and Shoreditch 1234, as well as gigs with many of the bands who inspired them, including Sham 69, Bad Manners, Chelsea, Menace and Subhumans. Around half the pUKEs were ‘non musicians’ before they learned the uke, the others have been in bands such as UK Subs, Extreme Noise Terror and Lost Cherrees.

Saw this band on at the Windmill on Sunday, think they'd go down a storm at Offline. Experimental Tropic Blues Band

Not sure when they're back in London, they hail from Liege which isn't far away.
