Question - are quiet acts any good at Offline? Plenty of great solo/duet artists around who do quieter stuff.
Not so much at the Albert venue, but I have put on poets, comedians and acoustic acts elsewhere.
Aye probably a bit loud overall...
The Spaghetti Faction.

ed - you looking for DJs?
To a lesser extent but yes. What kind of stuff do you play?
Can we have Snoop Lion please?
AKA Snoop Dogg.
You didn't see the thread? Apparently he went to Jamaica and converted to Rastafarianism or sumtin, now wants to be known as Snoop Lion.
I vaguely recall it, but it's certainly got fuck all to do with Offline!
I don't know that anyone's claimed as much. Would be a bit much for the Albert, altho I reckon he'd enjoy the fine displays of tokery in the back.
Mentioned last night in conversation as probably good to get an offline dancing. Duncan Disorderly and the Scallywags
Cheers. I've got Dr Bluegrass coming up, so I guess I'l see how they go down first.
I saw my mates band at boomtown properly for the first time this year at boomtown....... Its something urbs might potentially like i think.
when is the next offline thing? id like to come
eta: oh, ok, just seen the website!
How about the Drumachine Project aka Oded Kafri.
I've seen him busking a couple of times and he's pretty amazing.
He's been regularly busking outside Brixton tube recently so he's a bit too over exposed in the area for me right now, IMO.
You turning hipster on us?
Hardly. I just don't want to book acts that have already been seen in Brixton many many times recently.
have a rollicking good drum and bass line, with a good MC.
I thought they'd split up, but Django Spears are playing "weddings and functions" but I'm sure they could be persuaded to play Offline . They play 90s and 00s pop hits, in gypsy punk skiffle dub etc. styles and are guaranteed to get people dancing. Great stage presence.
"DJ Ang O'Spears"...?
Just read about this lot....surely tailor made for Offline...!
The pUKEs are a 20-strong punk ukulele band based in London. They play songs by the likes of Dead Kennedys, Exploited, Xray Spex, The Clash, etc like you never heard ‘em before. Their massive stage presence and raucous live show has landed them slots at Rebellion punk festival and Shoreditch 1234, as well as gigs with many of the bands who inspired them, including Sham 69, Bad Manners, Chelsea, Menace and Subhumans. Around half the pUKEs were ‘non musicians’ before they learned the uke, the others have been in bands such as UK Subs, Extreme Noise Terror and Lost Cherrees.
they have to do at least one george formby cover, surely
Brilliant! They did miss a trick not calling themselves that...
Saw this band on at the Windmill on Sunday, think they'd go down a storm at Offline. Experimental Tropic Blues Band
Not sure when they're back in London, they hail from Liege which isn't far away.
