What's it do?!
I have friends who rave about this but they've never been able to explain why it's better than last.fm
it's much better than last.fm. the interface is nicer and it's easier to search for compliations and the like.
I like this.
Nicer interface than Last.fm too
I've had this for a while.. It's a cool player.. Was listening to 1920s music the other night.. dance bands, Jass, bluegrass all sorts.. The Ads on the free app aren't too intrusive either.. The occasional scroll bar ad now and again..
I like it..
anyone tried imeem? i find it quite good for creating playlists.
You can with Spotify as well bit it creates good playlists for a specific date or word.
Sure asks a lot of questions when you sign up.
*fiddles about a bit more.
Blimey. It is a bit good. Great interface too.
Shame you can't save the songs off for nowt
ooh. yeah, this is great isn't it? i'm always innately suspicious about anything the guardian raves on about, but i was wrong to be here - it's virtually indistinguishable from a media player. but with fucking loads more songs than whats on your own harddrive...
so how do i get an invite?
Thanks, that link lets me install, but i still need an invite.
OK. It's fucking brilliant. There has to be a catch here! How can it play all this music for nothing?
yeh, where do you get an invite from? doesn't mention it on the site
Anyone know where you get an invite from?
don't you just click the link on the op, fill it out and away you go?
it's far from flawless - they're under the impression that a bluegrass outfit called White House are an English power electronics outfit
they're severely lacking in ragga jungle too.
lots of Clarence Carter though.
I can see this being quite useful - if I read a reference to a track I can check it out on spotify and then download it or whatever..
Sure, but come on: this is fucking amazing for free. The way you can see the 'hits' of bands is superb introduction to new acts.
and it has got the "raggamuffin" mix of Wee Rule
Here's how it hopes to make money:
Free gives you:
Find and browse by artist, title, album, genre, year.
Specify your own radio channel based on genre, year and artist.
Create, share and collaborate on play lists and share links to music.
(with short ads every 20-25 mins)
oh i wouldn't like that.
They're not as intrusive as the shit you hear on commercial radio. Least not yet, anyway.
i'm still last.fm-ified.
So.........can i get an invite?
Click on the link in the OP.
Well, that adds me to a waiting list.
Separate names with a comma.
