There is that, tbh I wasnt sure exactly what the guidelines were other than Man City were fucked trying to meet it currently lol. Lot of expensive deadweight in that squad that needs to go.
yeah losing santa cruz, bellemy, jo, bridge will make a fairly significant dent in the wage bill you'd have thought. Well until they sign danni alves on 300k a week or something equally as stupid, obviously. dave
Those actually on the way out somewhere or just need to be? Had a go with them on FM2011 and found shifting the dead weight in the team to be a lengthy pain in the ass due to current wages.
Man City - both who they sell and buy will be the major transfer market movers. They have to get rid of some of the overpaid crap and you'd assume they'll try signing a few people - Aguero maybe
Did adebayor actually leave for Madrid or they still stuck with him too? Remember rumours and counter stories but didnt keep up with things.
He's a good player but a tool. Most City fans would want VK to be captain anyway. But wish we would sort this shit out. If he want to go he should go but City have got to sort it out soon or else we'll lose out on a big name replacement.
Madrid unlikely to meet an asking price? They throw as much money about as City do and bought Ronaldo for about twice Agueros release clause.
well, I didn't say they can't meet his release clause, I said they won't. For whatever reason it doesn't seem to me like Mourinho fancies him much. (in any case, they bought Ronaldo and Kaká on tic. Specifically on free loans they got off CajaMadrid, which has subsequently turned into a bank rather than a "caja". It doesn't seem likely they'll give them more free money to me)
Looks like Brentford will be my second team this season: http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/09062011/58/league-rosler-poised-brentford-job.html
Ah wasnt aware of the change in circumstances, nor that that was the case to begin with tbh lol. Just that they seemed to be throwing money around like they cant wait to get rid of it.
IMO, what Real Madrid did is at minimum against the spirit of UEFA rules against government interference, as CajaMadrid was a (municipal) government entity...
Tbh Swansea looked good for the most part in the first half, went downhill fast after the goal, especially after Aguero's introduction. Fantastic debut tbh and Im a United fan lol. Bad examples since Rio and Vidic currently both out for weeks. Brilliant second goal, constantly caused problems everywhere after he came on. Must have pulled off more shots in his half hour than Torres did the entire match against Stoke and everyone went on about how he supposedly had a good game (4 shots) also hitting 2 goals and setting one up in 30mins in the field? Thats damn impressive anyway.
Have to admit that Man Citry played superbly in the second half. Swansea's decline from their high standard of passing and movement in the first half was woeful. But City in the first half just soaked up what limited Swansea pressure there ever was. Vincent Kompany looked very solid in defence, Hart had little to do. Plus Swansea's new goalkeeper made some stunning saves in the first half, also he was helped by the woodwork twice! It was all one way after the break though, and yes, Aguero looks great.
