Yorkshire not doing much better against Kent a second time around. Though it's a bit daft that in three games we've played one team twice.
Not happy in the dressing room apparently I rather liked this paragraph At least we're top at something.
Not just Shazad's bowling, he's scored nearly 1,200 runs at an average of 25.00. A good clean hitter and able to hang around if needed. I guess if he's not happy (and im guessing Gale wasnt happy with him, as any captain will do his best to keep good players) then he had to go.
Well Brian Rose has now contacted his people and said he'll be giving an answer within the next 24 hours. Just read this:
It's been handled appallingly, but sounds like a good move for Shahzad to me. He's lost the new ball at Yorkshire, and probably feels he's going backwards there.
He's committed to West Indies in all forms of the game. I'm guessing that means a pay cut. A good thing, surely, even to a partisan Somerset man. Just a shame they can't get him in for the Test series.
Yorkshire doing better this game. Bairstow getting his second century of the season and McGrath turning up for once - in both the batting and bowling! Should put this game to bed today.
Probably made harder work of it than they should have but Yorkshire managed to get a win under their belts.
Interesting piece by Vic Marks yesterday.. http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2012/may/05/yorkshire-ajmal-shahzad-rough-diamond
Yorkshire forfeiting their first innings, I like the aggression but since Gloucs made 351 in their first innings it seems a little misplaced here. Should have gone for the extra bonus points. 400 to win and 30 for 1 with one day to go. Can't see Yorkshire doing it not without Root and Bairstow not playing.
Well they proved me wrong did it and relatively easily. Good batting from Jacques and Balance and good captaincy from Gale.
