We'll be booking next week, to get the ticket expense over with early .... :)

(Sorry Edie, I don't know what the increased post January price will be).

There is a 2.5% rise in VAT from January 2011 so don't expect a big increase.

I've always loved the levellers too but don't like BDs at all, too dippy hippy for me. Good if you have kids though.

I guess it depends what you're after from a festival, horses for courses.

To add to Badgers' answer/links, here's a link to the 2009 and 2010 chat about Beautiful Days for those years, from these very forums :)

We're old school multiple-festival going veterans, and not all that hippy at all (we much prefer beer tents to 'workshops' ;) ). And we rate BD big time, the atmosphere, and amount to do, is excellent. Otter Ale (served in all the beer tents) is very reasonably priced by the standard of most festies, and it's excellent quality. Site lovely. And we're well overdue an out and out scorcher this time as well :p

We'll be popping our BD cherry this year and making a bit of a holiday of it too since it's sooo far and not a part of the country I've visited before. Very pleased with the headliners announcement, just glad I've stopped smoking and lost a bit of weight now that GB have been announced. :D

BD is a good event - not much hardcore crusty prang crackhead brew crew tekno traveller chemical bass shizniz happening tho. If that's your thing.

Jammy fucker, Bahn. You should deffo go.

eta: if not, pm me please!
  22. Bahnhof Strasse

    Bahnhof Strasse wax weasel

Sometimes it's nice not to have to fight crackheads all night long to a gabba soundtrack ;)

We will be going, got tickets from one of the bands playing, e-mailed him and said how BD is great cos V is on the same weekend, so all the wankers go to V and the sound folk down to Devon. He replies, "We're also playing V that weekend"

I may well be going, am blagging tx from a band also, and hopefully bringing my OAP mum (proper middle-class granny type, but up for it) along for her first ever festival experience!! Better try to organise an Urbanz meet nearer the time....
