I think we agree on quite a few things, and the things we don't agree on, we're able to discuss.
do we fuck as like, I disagree with everything you ever say and you'd need to fight me to prove otherwise *puffs out chest*
You and I both know that we'd get along famously.
I hope I'm not detracting from your radical chic by saying these things?
you cannot detract from that which does not exist
You two and your love in is distracting us from the important subject of women straddling motorcycles!
Get a room eh !!
If we get a room, I'll transport DC to it via motorbike, with him on the back, riding sidesaddle.
Otherwise know as the Steve Bus-semi
As an aytolloah you should know a woman out riding alone is not under the control of a suitable male relative and is therefore a HARLOT and must be stoned.
Sharia law its simple woman or unbeliver? Stone the guilty bastard.
They need her to put things into perspective:
Stone them, etc!
That is our late great Queen Mother, so just show some respect.
Women traditionally rode horses side saddle
If you think about it, wouldn't it be more fitting and comfortable for men to ride side saddle on a horse and women to straddle?
Except when they didn't - the sidesaddle was a huge technological improvement on the pillion seat. And women could ride astride as long as they didn't mind hoiking up their skirts (probably only an option for short distances) or wearing masculine clothing below the waist. Okay, it wasn't socially acceptable, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.
You might have a point there, but the one which surprises me is that it took so long for stirrups to be added to the saddle, making horses & ponies a lot easier to control without pulling at their heads.
so would that mean riding side saddle gives one less control of the horse as you don't have access to both stirrups?
Got it in one - side saddle riders compensate by using pressure from their riding crop on the side where their legs aren't. FWIW it also puts a lot more stress through the back because you sit twisted between the waist and hips instead of straight on. Hence the appalling spinal injuries which used to happen (and still do, but less often) when side saddle riders either fell or were thrown.
Elena Rosell is going to be in trouble at the Sepang Moto2 race if they do.
Boo - shemi
Apparently, you can even fox hunt side saddle.
I've decided to get drunk ( most hunters I have met seem to be) get on a horse and chase a fox to death and I'm going to do it side saddle as riding normally is for common folk..
I am slightly impressed by lunacy at this level.
Agreed, you can ride cross country, point to point etc while side saddle, but it's significantly more dangerous than riding astride, particularly if you fall. As explained in post 47.
Get the hang of sidesaddle cycling and then I might be impressed.
